Scott Hammack
Executive Chairman
Scott Hammack has a diverse range of management experience in start-ups and publicly held companies. He has helped generate over $1.3 billion in returns for several technology ventures including NetSPI, MasterChart Inc., Cyberguard Corporation, and Prolexic. He was an instrumental part of NetSPI recently raising growth funding of $500 million. A native of Chicago, Scott holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University. He is now the Executive Chairman of CheckRed.

Stuart Scholly has over 20 years of experience in the technology and product management fields. The 2010 recipient of the Spotlight Award from the Illinois Technology Association, he has successfully grown IT and security enterprises such as Akamai, Prolexic, Physicians Interactive, and Allscripts. Stuart received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a BS in Economics and English from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Clawson is the former CEO of companies such as Terbium Labs and Blancco Technology Group (BLTG.L). Clawson served as Chairman and CEO of Lumension Security. He was also previously Chairman and CEO of CyberGuard Corporation (NASDAQ: CGFW), a security software company he successfully grew and positioned for acquisition by Secure Computing (NASDAQ: SCUR) for $295 million. Clawson brings more than 20 years of software industry experience and has a successful track record of running high tech companies.

Pavan Gorakavi, CheckRed’s Co-Founder & President, is focused on creating cutting-edge cybersecurity products. He has over 17 years of experience in leading product engineering teams. Before joining CheckRed, Pavan held engineering leadership positions at Deloitte, Terbium Labs, NetSPI, Cybersponse, and iSIGHT. Pavan holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas, an MS in Computer Science from Lamar University, and a BS in Computer Science from JNTU. He is also an active member of the Forbes Technology Council.

Patrick Wheeler, who presently serves as CheckRed’s Co-Founder & CFO of Business Development, comes with a strong expertise in cybersecurity. For over 30 years, he has led Business Development, Sales, and Finance teams and has extensive experience in M&A transactions, and capital raises in private and public markets. He is also Strategic Advisor to Sunstone Partners and its portfolio company NetSPI. He has previously worked for Akamai, Prolexic, Quest Software, and eDMZ Security.

Dan Thormodsgaard, CheckRed’s CTO, has over 20 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity consulting. Dan has been a strategic cybersecurity advisor of Fortune 500 enterprise accounts, technology companies, and government institutions. He currently serves as an advisor for several cybersecurity start-up companies and provides strategic M&A and cybersecurity industry trends for investment firms. He holds a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota.
