CheckRed Achieves CSA STAR Level 1 Certification for Cloud Security Assurance
Dallas, TX – June 30, 2025 – CheckRed, the unified cloud security platform for SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS environments, today announced that it has achieved Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) STAR Level 1 certification. By publishing its Consensus Assessment Initiative Questionnaire (CAIQ), CheckRed demonstrates alignment with the CSA Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM), delivering transparency and confidence in its cloud security and compliance practices to enterprise customers worldwide.
CSA STAR Level 1 (self-assessment) documents the security controls provided by cloud computing services, helping customers evaluate the security posture of providers like CheckRed. Achieving CSA STAR Level 1 requires submitting a CAIQ—a comprehensive, publicly available report based on 197 CCM controls—to validate cloud security practices and controls. This empowers current and prospective customers with clear visibility into CheckRed’s approach to protecting cloud environments.

Participation in CSA STAR enables CheckRed to demonstrate alignment with industry best practices, helping organizations meet compliance requirements across various regulatory frameworks. The STAR program includes two levels of assurance—self-assessment (Level 1) and third-party certification (Level 2)—based on:
- CSA Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM) v4: A globally recognized framework covering 17 domains and 197 controls for cloud computing security.
- EU GDPR and Cloud Code of Conduct (CoC) alignment for data protection and privacy compliance.
